It is specifically designed for individuals who have acquired skilled work experience in Canada and wish to become permanent residents. Whether you have gained this experience as a temporary foreign worker or a foreign graduate from a Canadian post-secondary institution, CEC could be your ticket to settling in Canada permanently.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for CEC, all minimum requirements must be met for Canadian skilled work experience & language ability.

  • Have obtained at least one year of skilled work experience in Canada within the past 3 years of the application date; and
  • Gained work experience by working in Canada while authorized to word under temporary resident status
  • Meet minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level of 7 for training, education, experience and responsibilities (TEER) 0 or 1 & level of 5 for TEER 2 or 3
  • Plan to live and work outside of the province of Quebec. (individuals with work experience in Quebec and plan on living in Quebec may apply to the Quebec Experience Class).
  • You must be admissible to Canada
